No person can grow without taking food, even so also, no one can grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ who does not read and meditate in the Scriptures (2 Peter 3.18).

True soul prosperity comes through meditating in God's word, and from such prosperity will issue fruitfulness (Psalm 1.2, 8).

No one can meditate in the word whose mind is roaming about in all manner of questionable places and things, therefore we should gird up the loins of our minds (1 Peter 1.18).
